India is a land of multifarious cultures, religions, castes and languages. Under such circumstances, India is able to exhibit a unique character of oneness in the world. However, gender discrepancies still exist in our society. To remove such malpractices of different communities of the society, the Equal Opportunity Cell have initiated different steps like prohibition of witch hunting, controlling domestic violence against women, remarriage of widows, rehabilitation of women who are social outcasts, abolition of child labor and child marriage, creation of educational awareness among the underprivileged community, etc.
